Morecambe clinched their second win of the season in fine style at Christie Park.
Stewart Drummond headed the Shrimps into the lead on 18 minutes. Craig Stanley curled in a cross from the left and Drummond rose higher than the Lincoln defenders around him to head past Rob Burch.
Lincoln hit back with Cian Hughton sliding in at the far post to divert an excellent Khano Smith cross just wide.
The Shrimps then created a string of half chances with Paul Mullin and Jim Bentley both heading just wide and Laurence Wilson flashing a shot wide of the left hand post.
They were rewarded for their pressure with a second on 41 minutes. Phil Jevons was bundled over in the box by a combination of Moses Swaibu and Adam Watts and the Shrimps' striker sent Burch the wrong way from the spot.
Morecambe added a third on 53 minutes when they took advantage of some por defending. A cross from the left wing looked harmless but as substitute Sergio Torres hesitated Neil Wainwright ran on to the loose ball and cross for Paul Mullin to score from close range.
Lincoln pushed forward with Shrimps' keeper Ben Smith saving superbly from Anthony Pulis's long range effort and Rene Howe heading just wide.
Howe made an impact against his former team mates with a goal from Jamie Clarke's cross on 80 minutes before the visitors had defender Eric Lichaj sent off for kicking out at Wilson.
