A goal from Mark Duffy 12 minutes from time gave the Shrimps three points against Barnet.
Duffy produced the winner after Phil Jevons had robbed Gary Breen of possession and fed Duffy who delivered the coollest of finishes.
The Shrimps got off to a flying start as they took the lead after just three minutes.
Craig Stanley found Mark Duffy with a neat ball down the right and he produced a superb cross that was met by the flying head of Stewart Drummond who scored from six yards out.
Barnet hit back almost immediately with Matt Lockwood running on goal but shooting staight at Barry Roche who saved smartly with his legs.
The Bees did pull one back though on 33 minutes with a soft penalty awarded for an alleged shirt pull and Matt Lockwood sent Roche the wrong way from the spot.
Top scorer Phil Jevons made a welcome return to the starting line up and came close to a stunning goal when his right-footed curler struck the bar.
Twiss also struck the frame twice with one great left foot shot and another close-range effort.
Manny Panther made his long-awaited return from injury coming on late in the second half to help steady the ship and see The Shrimps to victory.
