Morecambe came from behind to collect an important point at the Globe Arena this afternoon.
The Shrimps were behind at the break with a goal from Steve Leslie on 42 minutes dividing the sides.
Leslie struck with a right foot shot from the edge of the area that beat keeper Barry Roche to his right hand side.
The goal came just as the Shrimps were enjoying their best period of the game with Phil Jevons and Dany Carlton both going close and Stewart Drummond forcing Adam Bartlett into a good save from a close range header.
But the Shrimps fought back strongly in the second half with Phil Jevons and Niall Cowperthwaite forcing superb saves from Adam Bartlett before the Shrimps levelled on 71 minutes. Scott Brown crossed from the left and Haining fired a right foot shot past Barltett's left hand.
Both sides exchanged chances in the opening half hour.
For Morecambe Kevan Hurst curled a free kick straight at Adam Bartlett and Stewart Drumond headed a Will Haining right wing cross just over the bar after a late run from midfield.
At the other end Hereford also tried their luck from distance with Rob Purdie firing over from the edge of the box and Steve Leslie volleying over the top from 25 yards out.
Sammy McIlroy is forced to make changes for the game against Hereford with Andy Parrish ruled out because of a foot injury.
On the plus side Laurence Wilson is fit to return at left back with Niall Cowperthwaite switching to right back.
