AN injury time wonder striker from Kevin Ellison earned Morecambe a dramatic win at Cheltenham.
Ellison scored two minutes into injury time with a stunning 25 yard strike to give the Shrimps a second successive victory.
Morecambe started the scoring just after the hour when Nick Fenton headed home an Izak Reid cross at the far post.
Cheltenham hit back through a fine Jeff Goulding strike six minutes from time from the edge of the box.
The game set to be heading for an entertaining draw but then substitute Ellison popped up for his second goal of the season.
An entertaining first half is goalless despite chances at both ends.
The home side caused the early threat and almost took the lead on 22 minutes when Russell fired a shot that took a wicked deflection off a Morecambe player that looped over Bary Roche but came back off the crssbar.
Keith Lowe headed wide from close range when he should have scored on nine minutes and Bary Roche saved superbly from Kaid Mohamed's back post header.
But Morecambe looked threatening themselves on the break and Phil Jevons was denied agoal on the half hour when his header from Danny Carlton's excellent cross was tipped away superbly by Scott Brown.
Carlton went close with an early volley and Lewis Alessandra also curled an effort inches wide from the edge of the box as the game swung from end to end.
Jim Bentley names an unchanged squad for the trip to Cheltenham tonight.
Garry Hunter and Andy Fleming are still ruled out so Bentley opts for the same starting eleven that played against Hereford on Saturday.
