TWO  goals in the final 10 minutes earned the Shrimps a superb win at promotion chasing Bury.

Jim Bentley's side were trailing 1-0 as the game entered its final stages but goals from substitutes Padraig Amond and Paul Mullin saw the game turn on its head.

In many ways it was a game of two halves.

Bury had the better of the opening 45 minutes and played some excellent football.

They were rewarded for their pressure with an 18th minute goal. Andrew Tutte found space down the right and delivered a cross into the six yard box.  Danny Nardiello got there before Danny Ward and Tom Eaves got the final touch to bundle the ball home from close range.

The home side then looked to add to their advantage but were denied by Ward on several occasions.

The on loan Liverpool keeper produced a fine save low to his left to deny the excellent Danny Mayor and then showed great reflexes to tip away a close range shot from Nardiello.

Two minutes from the break Tom Soares was denied a second Bury goal on 43 minutes by a superb goal line clearance from Andy Parrish.

Jamie Devitt came on  for Alan Goodall after the break and the complexion of the game changed with it.

Morecambe began to keep the ball more and force Bury back.

Despite plenty of  probing the Shrimps looked set to be heading for only a second away defeat in 10 games until they found a way through the Bury defence with two late goals.

Amond levelled on 80 minutes when he was played in on goal by a delightful through ball and he made no mistake.

The winner came five minutes later after a howler from home keeper Pope. He miscued his attempted clearance straight to Jamie Devitt and his goalbound effort from 30 yards out was touched into the empty goal by Mullin.

Bury almost came back with three late efforts from Adam El Abd, Ryan Lowe and Danny Mayor but the Shrimps held on for a superb three points.
