Ex Oldham front man Rhys Turner signs on a two year deal

MORECAMBE boss Jim Bentley has bolstered his striking options by signing ex Oldham front man Rhys Turner on a two year deal.

The former Preston North End junior, who turns 21 later this month, has been with the Shrimps in pre season and impressed Bentley enough to offer him a deal.

Bentley said: Rhys has been with us since we started back pre season training and has showed a good attitude.

"He's young, bright and very eager to do well and progress.

"We have had good reports about him from people we know in the game and we have seen enough in  him to suggest he's got a very bright future.

"He's quick, powerful and full of energy and we are sure he will score goals for us.

"I am really looking forward to working with him and helping him fulfil his potential.''

Rhys played 25 games for Oldham and had loan spells with York and Macclesfield last season.
