Highlights of AFC Liverpool vs Morecambe FC
GOALS from Paul Mullin (2), Jack Sampson, Jamie Devitt and Alan Goodall Secured a 5-0 win over AFC Liverpool in what was their first game at their new ground.
Trialist Paul Mullin put the Shrimps 1-0 up on 4 minutes with a close range finish from a Ryan Williams Free Kick. Both sides hit the woodwork throughout the first half but the score remained 1-0 throughout the remainder of the first half.
A lively second half saw Morecambe create more chances. Jack Sampson heading home a Jamie Devitt corner to make it 2-0. Alan Goodall then put the Shrimps 3-0 up with an almost carbon copy of Sampson’s previous goal. Sampson then put a dangerous ball into the box for Mullins to dummy and Devitt to superbly fire home to make the score 4-0. Devitt completed his hat trick of assists in the 90th minute when he played Mullin in, who rounded the keeper and scored his 2nd and Morecambe’s 5th.
