Shrimps sign Barkhuizen, Bailey and Kelleher

THE Shrimps have tonight signed Tom Barkhuizen on a two year deal.

The wide man, who had a loan spell with the Shrimps last season has joined the club after being released by Blackpool.



Morecambe have also signed two youngsters with midfielder Charlie Bailey, 17, and striker Jack Kelleher, 18, signing first year pro deals after impressing with the club's academy.



Boss Jim Bentley said: "I was really impressed with Tom when he was with us last season on loan.

"He has a lot to offer and I'm delighted to have him here.''

Talking about Bailey and Kelleher he said: "we had a look at both lads last year as they trained with the first team on a couple of occasions and did really well.

"Both of them have great attitudes and impressed us in the youth sides.

"We are looking forward to working with them next season and seeing them develop.''

Lancaster-born Bailey has been with the Shrimps in their development system since he was 13 while liverpudlian Kelleher was a student with Lancaster and Morecambe College who impressed in the reserves last season and had a loan spell with Kendal Town.
