Boss Praises Patience

Jim Bentley praises his side's patience after Yeovil win.

SHRIMPS' boss Jim Bentley praised his side for their patience after coming from two goals down to beat Yeovil at Huish Park.

Goals from Harry Cornick and Omar Sowunmi gave The Glovers a 2-0 half-time lead despite a red card for Shaun Jeffers but the Shrimps fought back in the second half with Aaron Wildig, Andy Fleming, Lee Molyneux and Kevin Ellison sealing a second successive league win.

Bentley said: “I was disappointed with how we started the game and the goals we conceded.

“But we’ve got goals and creativity in the side and we managed the game well in the second half.

“We were patient, we moved the ball round, we dictated the play and we made better decisions than in the first half and ran out worthy winners in the end.

"The key today was being patient.

“We starved them of the ball. If someone hasn’t had the ball for five or 10 minutes they can lose their shape and you can get in behind or round the sides.

“That’s what we did today, we worked the goals well.”

The Shrimps have now scored eight goals in two league games and their forward play is something that is catching the eye.

Bentley said: “I think we’re the third leading goal scorers in the league.

“We’ve just got to keep going. It’s entertaining but what’s scary is I think we’ve got more in our locker.

“We can tighten up at the back but we’ve working extremely hard on creating goals and maybe we’re overcommmitting at times.

“You’ve got to get the balance right.”
