Saturday's Match Sponsorship in memory of Lionel Procter.
SATURDAY'S game against Bristol Rovers was sponsored by LCR Systems who dedicated the occasion to the memory of the company's founder and long time Shrimps' supporter Lionel Procter.
Lionel's son, Mark, paid tribute to his dad in the match programme.
He said: "Dad was well known throughout Morecambe and Lancaster as a local businessman and lifelong supporter of Morecambe Football Club.
"He followed Morecambe FC from the age of five and was introduced to the club by his dad, Arthur. Dad would follow the Morecambe team home and away as and when he could, telling me fantastic stories of the games and players of the past.
"I was privileged to have worked for more than 30 years with my dad. We got on extremely well, growing the business over that time and also being able to employ Morecambe people. I hope that I have learned and put into practice the values and principles that dad displayed within his day to day life.
"Dad will be sadly missed by his family, work colleagues and customers but especially on a match day when we should share a pie and a pint and hopefully a Morecambe win.''
