Ken Praises Side After Bury Win

McKenna delighted with the way the Shrimps bounced back from their defeat at Dover with victory over Bury

Assistant boss Ken McKenna said he was delighted with the way the Shrimps bounced back from their disappointing defeat at Dover with a fine 1-0 victory over Bury.

McKenna said: “The lads have been under some pressure but have worked really hard this week.

“Every man there’s done his job and it was fantastic, probably our best 90 minutes of the season.

“Bury are an excellent side and we limited them to very little''

He added: “Everyone was disappointed last week. We accept that the fans were angry, we were angry.

“But it’s how you react to it, do you sulk and moan and let it affect you or do you get on with the next game.

“We were already thinking about Bury on the way home from Dover.

“Myself and Jim aren’t soft, we took in the chin and focused on doing our best for the football club because that’s all we can do.”
