Local footballer Liam Breslin donates four figure sum towards Prostate Cancer

Local footballer Liam Breslin donated a four figure sum towards Prostate Cancer
UK in order for fellow High Grove FC player Lee Richardson and himself to play
alongside Jim Bentley in the Morecambe Legends XI on Sunday.

Liam and Lee lined up with the Shrimps' legends and featured in the games against the Legends XI and Shanghai Clever.
Jim Bentley said “Its a fantastic gesture from a local lad, it’s for a great
cause and it was a pleasure to have him (Liam) and Lee in the team.”

Breslin added “it was a good experience. I wanted to donate some money anyway
and when I saw the Men Utd vs Prostate Cancer Charity Match I thought I’d see if
they’d let me participate.

"I didn’t expect them to let me do it if I’m honest but they let me in and on the
day I was quite nervous with all the ex Premier League players. I managed to
settle into the game though and enjoyed myself.
"Everyone was really welcoming and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
