Morecambe scoop top prize in small stadium category
Morecambe Football Club are delighted to announce that the in-house Hospitality Team has again been honoured in this year’s National Stadium Experience Awards held at Coventry City’s Ricoh Arena last night.Not only did Morecambe win their Small Stadium category they went on to finish 2nd in the Overall Category being beaten to the top spot by Hull City Tigers, but finishing ahead of Manchester City.
Commenting on the news General Manager Mark Dixon said; “what another great night for Morecambe Football Club. To win our category ahead of much larger operations is a fabulous achievement to then split the big boys in the Overall Category is pretty mind-blowing, when you put into context the relative resources of the top 3 Clubs. We have always prided ourselves in making the best of what we have to offer our Hospitality and Corporate guests. The judging is on the day’s experience overall so it really is a huge team effort to achieve the results we have. There are far too many people involved to mention them all individually but our Chef Graham Aimson, Ops team Michael O’Brien and Toby Greenwood and Hospitality Co-ordinator Gill Lumb keep things ticking over. Tonight’s success is in no small part down to theirs and their team’s dedication and attention to detail. I know they had a great night but they are all on their way back to make sure today’s wedding at the Club is as bigger success as it can be”
