Young striker signs two year deal

THE Shrimps have today completed the signing of striker Jack Sampson.
The 20-year-old, who was released by Bolton at the end of last season, has joined the Shrimps on a two year deal.
Boss Jim Bentley welcomed him to the club as the players returned for their first day of pre season training and said he was delighted to sign the former England Under 19 player.
He said: "Jack has a good pedigree and has loads of potential.
"He's been at Wigan and Bolton and played in the league on loan at Southend and Accrington and I think he will have a lot to offer.
"He is still only young and we won't put too much pressure on him but I am really pleased that he has joined us. He has played for England and come highly recommended and I am sure he will make progress with us over the next two years. ''
Bentley said he was pleased with his first day's work after the summer break.
He said: "Everyone looked sharp and the banter was soon flying around. It was like we had never been away really and good to see everyone fit and raring to go.''
