Barnet 1
Morecambe 1
Deadly Diarmuid O'Carroll scored a superb second goal of the season to earn the Shrimps a good point at Underhill.
The home side, who came into the match without a point from five games , gave their all and came close to taking the full three points at the death.
An excellent goal from Albert Adomah on 17 minutes gave the Bees the lead and they came close to adding a second when Cliff Akurang's header was cleared off the line by Garry Hunter.
O'Carroll gave Morecambe a timely boost though with a stunning volley on 41 minutes. The former Celtic man took the ball on his shoulder and turned superbly to beat Lee Harrison with a superb volley.
The second half saw both sides come close with Wayne Curtis and Neil Wainwright seind early efforts goalwards. But it was the Bees who came closest to taking the points with Kenny Gillett twice firing inches wide and Ashley Carew curling another shot just off target.
An Ismail Yakubu header was cleared off the line by his own player as the Shrimps' goal led a charmed life as the visitors sealed what proved to be a hard-earned point.
