Popular Morecambe full-back Danny Adams is in line for another gong.
Adams heads the nominations for League 2 player of the year in the North West Football Awards.
The prestigious awards pick the finest of the region's talent with winners announced at a black tie dinner in Manchester later in the year.
Adams is up against Rochdale's Gary Jones, Chester's Paul Linwood, Paul Mullin of Accrington, Bury's Paul Scott and Danny Thomas of Macclesfield.
Last year's awards saw Carl Baker win the Conference player of the year award and Danny Carlton win the NW goal of the season for his Wembley strike.
