Morecambe keeper Barry Roche may be facing his former club on Saturday but insists it will "just  another game.''

The keeper, who joined the Shrimps from the Spireites in the summer said he was looking forward to seeing some old friends but would not be treating the game any differently.

He said: "I must admit that when the fixtures came out this was one of the games I looked for but now it is here I just have to treat it as any other game.

"I had a couple of good years at Chesterfield and it was a good club for me but now I have to focus on Morecambe and all I am really thinking about is taking three points from the game. Chesterfield will be tough opponents because they haven't had the best of starts and I am sure they will be expecting to do better than they are at the moment.

"They have some good players but so do we and all we should be bothered about is how we perform because we all want to turn the recent draws into wins to climb the table.''

Roche played for Chesterfield when they drew at Christie Park last season in one of the best games of the home campaign.

He said: "That was a really important game for Chesterfield and the defeat probably put an end to their play-off hopes. I remember that Chesterfield dominated the first half but hardly got a touch in the second half and it proved to be a disappointing day for the club.''
