McLachlan in the squad for Bees test

Posted on: Tue 21 Oct 2008

Fraser McLachlan has been drafted into the Morecambe squad for tonight's clash with Brentford.

McLachlan will travel to Griffin Park after Garry Hunter picked up an injury in training on Monday which ruled him out of the game.

Boss Sammy McIlroy said he is looking for his side to repeat last year's 1-0 victory at Brentford but admits it will be a tough game against a resurgent Bees.

He said: "A midweek trip to London is far from ideal but we went there last year and got an excellent win and it would be great to repeat that tonight. But Brentford are doing well and made some good signings in the summer including Charlie Macdonald who we enquired about ourselves.''

McLachlan is likely to be among the substitutes along with goalkeeper Lewis Edge who will replace Scott Davies.

The game will be covered live for Morecambe World subscribers from 7.45pm.
