Skipper Jim Bentley is looking forward to coming up against former defensive partner Chris Blackburn against Aldershot this weekend.
Blackburn joined the Shots in the summer after an unsuccessful spell with Swindon and Bentley says he is delighted that his old team mate has been given the chance to play in the Football League with Gary Waddock's newly promoted side.
Looking ahead to the game Bentley, who scored his first goal of the season at Port Vale last Saturday, said: "Blacky will always be fondly remembered he. He played a massive part in the promotion winning team and I am sure he will get a warm reaction this weekend.
"I was sorry to see that things didn't work out for him at Swindon but we all knew that he was a very capable player who would easily fit into a side at this level and I am glad to hear he is doing well at Aldershot.''
Blackburn is hoping to overcome a facial injury which he picked up against Port Vale on Tuesday night but is likely to be fit for action.
Speaking about his own form Bentley said: "I was long overdue that goal at Port Vale and I had missed a couple of great chances so I was glad it came. My main goal of course though is to keep clean sheets and we haven't had enough of them and we are all working really hard to try and get it right at that end of the park we as well.''
