Danny Carlton says he is "excited'' about the prospect of meeting up with his team mates tomorrow.

Carlton is set for his first training session with the Shrimps on Thursday since making his loan switch from Carlisle and says he is delighted to be back.

He said: "A few clubs were interested in signing me on loan but as soon as Morecambe were interested I knew this was where I wanted to be. I know the lads well and I know the style of play which is good for me and I am excited about playing for Morecambe in the Football League.

"It's also good to be back in familiar surroundings. I know the lads, I know the supporters and Morecambe is like a second home for me. On the field though I just want to play again and score regularly and take it from there.

"I'm excited about the thought of putting on a Morecambe shirt again on Saturday and hopefully we can pick up three points at Chester.'' 

Danny will wear the number 27 shirt on Saturday.
