Chester 1, Morecambe 2 - full time
Morecambe secured their second successive League 2 win with victory at the Deva Stadium.
The Shrimps took a 2-0 lead with goals from Craig Stanley on 32 minutes and Rene Howe 10 minutes into the second half but were made to sweat in the final stages after Eddie Johnson pulled one back for the home side on the hour.
In a full bloodied game the game came to a head in the final 10 minutes as Chester's Kevin Ellison and Morecambe's Danny Adams were both sent off after the former's horror tackle on Fraser McLachlan.
Morecambe started the better with the returning Danny Carlton seeing a fifth minutew header cleared off the line by Anthony Barry.
At the other end, Barry Roche had to make a fantastic save from Ryan Lowe but form there Morecambe took control again. Stanley lofted an effort just over the bar but made amends minutes later with a cool finish from a neat Stewart Drummond through ball.
The Shrimps doubled their lead 10 minuutes into the second half when Lawrie Wilson fouled Carlton in the box and Rene Howe slotted home the spot kick.
Chester hit back five minutes later with Johnson's header but from there neither side could add to their score and the Shrimps were delighted to claim their first away win of the season.
