Danny Carlton has had his loan spell with the Shrimps extended for a further month.

The Carlisle striker, who has played five games for the Shrimps since returning on loan, will now stay at Christie Park up to and including January 11, 2009.

Shrimps' boss Sammy McIlroy said: "This is good news for us because although Danny hasn't scored yet he has played well and has certainly improved his all round game since joining Carlisle.

"I am sure the goals will soon come for him.''
