Jimbo ready for Reserves' challenge

Posted on: Tue 02 Mar 2010

MORECAMBE skipper Jim Bentley will once again lead the Reserves on Wednesday night as they face Accrington Stanley at Christie Park in the Totesport.com League.

The Shrimps' skipper is currently in charge with Jeff Udall away and is looking forward to the challenge.

He said: "Everyone knows that I want to coach and manage one day and I am doing my coaching badges. I've done a bit of coaching before in Liverpool and it's something I want to get involved in after I finish playing.

"With Jeff away I was keen to get involved and it will be great experience for me. I've been in charge for two games so far and am learning all the time. Me and a few of the other lads are doing our badges and you can't beat experience like this.''

The game against Stanley kicks off on Wednesday at 7pm.
