Posted on: Sat 03 Jul 2010

PHIL Jevons has completed his move to the Globe Arena.

After joining the Shrimps on a year long loan last season Jevons has made the move permanent after being released by the Terriers.

Last season's top scorer has signed a two year deal and is keen to maintain his goalscoring success this year.

After scoring 19 times last season the 30-year-old said: "I really enjoyed my football again at Morecambe last year.

"I think we surprised a few people by getting to the play-offs and I think we can carry on that success this season. I'm looking forward to playing at the new stadium and being part of what should be an exciting time for the club.''

Boss Sammy McIlroy said: "Phil showed everyone last year just what a quality striker he is. He is an experienced player who has a real eye for goal and we are delighted that he will be back with us again on a permanent deal now.''
