Shrimps' boss Sammy McIlroy says Paul Mullin will not be joining Accrington Stanley on loan this weekend.

Stanley have made a bid to take Mullin back to the Crown Ground on loan but Sammy says Paul remains an important part of his plans and will be travelling to Burton Albion this weekend.

Said Sammy: "Accrington have enquired about Paul and we have let him know about that. He hasn't started a game so far but he is still very much a part of our plans.

"We are playing a different system at the minute but that can change at any time and Paul will be a big part of that. when we do.''

Stanley boss John Coleman said: "It would be great for us to have him back at the club and great for him too. He is one of the best signings I have ever made and we hope we can get him back."
