MORECAMBE moved into the next round of the Lancashire Senior Cup with this solid victory at Bloomfield Road.
Blackpool started well with Aleksandra Cauna going close after linking well with Matt Challinor on 7 minutes.
But from there Morecambe produced the better of the chances only to be denied on a number of occasions by Blackpool keeper Chris Kettings who made a string of fine saves.
Ketting was finally beaten by a looping header from Bentley after a pinpoint Garry Hunter free kick on 32 minutes. And Hunter was the provider again in injury time with a square ball for Spencer to stroke home from the edge of the area.
Blackpool looked to get back into the game in the second period with Lawrie Walker making a stunning save to deny Curtis Thompson before Scott Brown added a third goal seven minutes from time with a fine volley.
The Shrimps could have had more goals but once again Kettings kept them out with fine saves from Stewart Drummond and Spencer.
A number of first team players eager for match practice featured including Stewart Drummond, Garry Hunter and Will Haining while youngsters Jimmy Spencer and Stuart Hendrie were looking to impress watching boss, Sammy McIlroy.
