Striker Phil Jevons has been given the all clear to travel home with the Morecambe side after his nasty looking head injury at Oxford.

Jevons was taken straight to hsopital as a precaution after his horrific clash of heads with Oxford defender Jake Wright in the opening moments of the game at the Kassam Stadium.

After seeing a doctor Jevons was cleared to travel home with his team mates and is in good spirits, although nursing a swollen head above his right eye..

The club's medical team will keep a close eye on him over the weekend.
