Experienced defender signed on a two year deal in the close season after being released by Rotherham. The Preston-born player has played more than 400 Football League games since making his debut for Manchester City in 1998. From there went on to play for Notts County, Doncaster Rovers and Grimsby before joining the Millers in 2008. Fenton was surprisingly released by Andy Scott in the summer and Jim Bentley was quick to snap up his former Manchester City team mate.
