SATURDAY was a very frustrating day and we know we did not play well enough against Grimsby. We can do a lot better - but at the end of the day we got a point and extended our unbeaten run to four games.
Because we didn't play well it was a good point to earn and we are still ironing one or two things out on the training ground as we look to improve.
It takes time for players to bed in and we know this is a tough league but I sometimes wonder what some people expect.
I know it is our job as players to get the crowd going and I can understand some of the frustrations from the fans when we are not playing well, because they care as much as we do.
After Grimsby scored early it was a little quiet on Saturday - and because of that you could hear some of the things being shouted, mainly from the paddock. It is the same few voices all of the time and it is not needed.
We can all take criticism, that is part and parcel when you do not play well but some of the things shouted on Saturday were uncalled for and personal and it is not supporting the team. It certainly puts a dampener on things for everyone.
I am an Everton fan and I get frustrated. I went to the Standard Liege game and wanted Everton to take a three-goal lead into the away leg. But it wasn't to be and sometimes in football things don't go as you want and you have to get on with it.
By all means fans can criticise and we will all take constructive criticism. But we have come a long way in a short time.
We are a Football League club in our second season and we are unbeaten in four games. We could still be in the Conference and playing the likes of Histon - but we are not we are in the League and we are looking to establish ourselves.
Mark Lillis always talks about the Morecambe family and he is right. From the players, the management, the kit men Les and Tom and the fans, we are all in it together and we need everyone behind us. We all want success and it hurts when we don't get it.
We all feel it - and my missus will tell anyone that when we lose or don't play well it ruins the weekend. There are no lads here just to pick up the money.
The fans are important to us, they always have been. And supporting the team isn't just about the nice days out at Wembley and Preston and Wolves. We need them behind us when times are tough.
We are getting there. As I say, we are still looking to iron one or two things out but we have tightened up at the back and we are working the channels better and can still improve.
And we are looking to extend our run at Lincoln on Saturday.
