Shrimps' skipper Jim Bentley says his side "must do better''.
Speaking after the 4-1 defeat to Aldershot last week and looking ahead to the long trip to Torquay on Saturday he said: "Everyone at the game at Aldershot knows it was never a 4-1 game. But we have to face the truths and admit that we missed far too many chances and conceded four goals which was a major disappointment for us.
"We didn't have a lot of luck but we have analysed the goals this week and there were elements in each of them that were disappointing and we have to accept that we have to improve.
"We are not having a lot of luck at the moment and when Wayne Curtis injured his back in the warm-up last week it said a lot about how things are at the moment. We only had six subs as it was with two of them the youngest members of the squad but we are not going to make excuses.
"The injuries means that those players who have been knocking down the manager's door to get games now have their chance and it is up to them to make the most of the chances they have. We are not sure at this stage what squad will be travelling to Torquay but whatever team starts we will be doing our all to get back to winning ways.
"We need another win to give everyone a lift and we will be going all out to get that on Saturday. It won't be easy though because I watched their game against Notts County last week and once they got into the game they looked a decent side and they will have taken confidence from that. We know they have some decent players but so do we and we need to show how good we are now.
"I know there are quiet a few fans going down and we want to perform for them. I want to thank all the fans at Aldershot last week for their magnificent support. They kept right behind us despite losing 4-1 because I think they know we gave our all and deserved more than we got. The lads are really grateful for their magnificent support and we hope we can pay them back this weekend.''
