New Shrimps' skipper Will Haining gives his views after the opening day defeat against Barnet

"It was very disappointing for us to lose the game. It was the first game of the season and the first game at home and we wanted to start off with a win that would set our stall out for the rest of the season.

"Unfortunately we couldn't do that and we lost the match though I didn't think there was too much in it overall and it took a wonder goal for them from 30 yards to win it. Sometimes you have to hold your hand up and praise the opponent and this was one of those games. I thought we created a couple of chances in the game and we could have had a penalty and it's just about putting those chances away and making half chances into full chances and giving our strikers some more service.

"It's nothing to be too disheartened about. We could have created more but it's nothing to be too despondent about.''
