Morecambe-born player who played for the Youth side and the Reserves before signing forms in May 1993. Had trials with Liverpool in August 1995, playing for their Reserves and also Blackburn Rovers before becoming a popular regular for several seasons and helped the club to promotion from the Unibond League.

Would have played many more games had he not been the victim of a string of bad injuries including a broken leg and a fractured hip which he picked up while playing against Southport. Left to coach in America in May 2000 but returned in October 2000. Had a loan spell with Bamber Bridge before signing for Accrington Stanley in October 2002. Released by Accrington in December 2003.

Played in the Spalding Cup win of 1997-98. Lancashire Cup winner in 1993-94 and 1995-96.
