Morecambe-born player who had trials with Liverpool, Hearts, Burnley and Rangers before moving to Dundee in July 1992. Made 32+3 apps for the Dens Park side and scored 1 goal. Joined Falkirk and made 122+9 apps, scoring 8 goals. During his time there the team reached the Scottish Cup final in 1996-97 where they lost 1-0 to Kilmarnock after beating Celtic 1-0 in the semi-final.

Won the Scottish League Challenge Cup in 1997-98 with a 1-0 win over Queen of the South. Later played for Motherwell, St Mirren, Alloa and East Fife.
