With annual revenues of over £2.5 billion, we have major operations in the UK and Americas and work internationally for customers from the Arctic to Australia, employing almost 22,000 people in around 40 countries worldwide. From scientists and environmental consultants, to engineers and project managers, it is our people who drive our success.

We work in diverse and often challenging environments, from sub-zero temperatures in the north of Canada to the sweltering heat of the Persian Gulf. Our scale and scope mean that whatever the territory or the technical challenges we face, we are well versed in delivering safe and sustainable projects.

We believe that we can only grow and succeed if we prioritise the long-term interests of our customers and the communities in which we work.

At Heysham power stations, AMEC has worked very closely with the teams at both sites for many years. AMEC is now one of EDF Energy's key partners for both existing nuclear plants and new build.

This means a permanent team of approximately 30 people at Heysham, and many more across the country, all of whom are seamlessly integrated in EDF Energy's own team to form a tight working bond.

AMEC and Heysham power stations were both recently hit by the sad death of operate technician Chris Cowan, and as a loyal Shrimps' fan, we felt that supporting this first game at the new Globe Arena would be a fitting tribute to him.
