Within my last Boardroom Notes I updated you all on the workings of the New Stadium project. Two months have now passed and I am delighted with the progress to date.

The work on Westgate Wanderers new facility is on schedule, to be completed by 30th March. The foundations and block work are complete, with the roof due to be fitted next week. The new car park has been kerbed and drains laid, with the tarmac wearing course due to be laid 15th March.

The overall stadium project has been split into two separate phases. The first phase covers the enabling works, which will see the site stripped and impor ted fill spread across the site to raise the levels and lay the bases for the roadways around the site. This phase is currently out to tender and work is scheduled to commence on Monday April 20th. Once this phase gets underway you will all be able to see progress on a daily basis.

We are entering a very exciting period in the history of Morecambe Football Club. Over the coming months, announcements will be made regarding events and campaigns around the club's final year at Christie Park. As a Board we are looking to encourage a sense of celebration, we will only achieve this if you the fans rally friends, family, workmates and casual acquaintances to come down and embrace the ideas and hopefully have a good time in the process.
