Boss Sammy McIlroy says he was happy to travel back from Sincil Bank after a point on Saturday.
Speaking after his 100th League game in charge ended with a third successive draw he said: "We came here knowing Lincoln would be desperate for a home win and they got a good start and an early goal
"That meant we had to show character again and respond and I thought we produced some good moments, especially in the second half where if we produced a better final ball we may have got something more from the game.
"At the end of the day a point at a place like Lincoln has to be seen as a decent result. That's three draws now away from home but we now have to get our home form up and running and improve our play in the final third to get our season up and running.
"It's five games unbeaten now and the effort from the boys has been fantastic. They kept going for 90 minutes and that was superb.''
