Boss Sammy McIlroy was full of praise for his side after they collected their first win in 10 games against Aldershot on Saturday.
McIlroy saw his side secure only their second win of the season with keeper Barry Roche their star man with a first half penalty save from John Grant being the turning point of the game.
Said McIlroy: "I am delighted for the lads and the fans because we were long overdue a win. We have had a tough time lately but the boys have always stayed strong and given me everything and they were rewarded today.
"We had a bit of luck today which is something we have not had all season but I think it was overdue and I am hoping that this is the win we needed to turn the corner.''
McIlroy praised keeper Roche saying: "He is getting better and better for us and I was delighted for him today. His penalty save gave us a real lift and he made some other important stops as well at vital times.''
