Posted on: Sun 29 Aug 2010

Boss Sammy McIlroy has explained the late change to the Morecambe line up against Gillingham on Saturday.

Garry Hunter was originally named in the squad as a substitute but had to be withdrawn just before kick off because of sickness.

McIlroy also revealed that Paul Scott was feeling unwell in the second half of the game which ended 1-1.

Said Sammy: "There has been a bit of a virus in the camp and Garry felt unwell just before we kicked off. Paul Scott was also suffering late on in the game but did well to battle through it and we hope everything clears up for Tuesday's game at Macclesfield.''
