Forest Green Rovers have signed former Morecambe midfielder Paul Lloyd until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old left Morecambe by mutual consent during the transfer window and will link up again with former Morecambe manager now Rovers boss Jim Harvey.

Paul Lloyd was in the Morecambe Academy during Harvey's reign and attempted to sign the midfielder 18 months ago, but the player agreed to sign his first full-time professional contract with the Shrimps when promotion was won to the Football League.

He received an injury which kept him out for most of the 2007/08 season. Needing to give his career a kick-start, Lloyd agreed to cancel his contract and look for a new opportunity.
