Chief executive delighted with recent run

MORECAMBE chief executive Rod Taylor has hailed the club's recent good run as 'tremendous'.
The Shrimps went to Rotherham last night, Tuesday, on the back of an eight-game unbeaten run which has moved them up to 10th, eight points off seventh-placed Shrewsbury.
That has got some fans dreaming of a late run to the play-offs but Mr Taylor was keeping his feet on the ground this week.
He said: "This is our best run in the Football League by a good way and it is has been a tremendous series of results.
"The confidence has lifted in the squad. At the end of the game on Saturday it was difficult to pick a man of the match because everyone played so well.
"We are enjoying the feel-good factor of getting into the top half of the table but we know we have got some difficult games coming up with Rotherham, then Dagenham on Saturday and Bury next Tuesday.
"But the lads are producing consistent, solid performances with a never-say-die attitude. Even when they were 2-0 down at Grimsby last Tuesday, once we got the first goal back you thought we would get something.
"I was talking to Sammy (McIlroy) and Mark (Lillis) last week and talking about how Morecambe have often been a team who finish well in the second half of the season; in many ways last season was unusual.
"We are just taking it a game at a time and keeping our feet on the ground. We have moved up quite a long way over the last few weeks but there is a gap between the play-off positions.
"You never know, though, it only takes two or three results either way for things to change."
Mr Taylor has also been encouraged by the progress on the club's ground move and the Sainsburys development.
He added the club would be looking into incentives to encourage fans to Christie Park.
He said: "We have got to make sure we keep our fan base as solid as we can."
