Howe transfer-listed
Peterborough United have responded to winning promotion to the Championship by transfer-listing 12 players, including former Shrimps loan player Rene Howe.
Darren Ferguson has led the Posh to back-to-back promotions and last week promised to make major changes to his squad in a bid to maintain their forward momentum.
Howe has been made available for transfer alongside defenders Chris Westwood and Shane Blackett, midfielder Sergio Torres and fellow striker Liam Hatch.
The others who have been told they can leave London Road are Mark Tyler, Daniel Blanchett, Craig Braham-Barrett, Kieran Charnock, Alfie Potter, Scott Rendell and Kwesi Appiah.
Speaking last week, Ferguson said: "We can't afford to stand still, so squad plans for the Championship are already in place.
"I'll meet with the players and some will be told they can find other clubs.
"There will be no surprises among that list and I hope to have replacements on board soon."
