Principality Welsh Premier club Llanelli have made a late addition to their Europa League squad with the signing of former Shrimps' defender Michael Howard.

Birkenhead-born Howard, 30, started his career with Liverpool and Tranmere Rovers, where he was a trainee, before making 222 Football League appearances for the Swans over six seasons.

He joined Morecambe under manager Jim Harvey and spent six seasons at Christie Park, making 95 appearances, before being released at the end of last season.
