MORECAMBE boss Sammy McIlroy says his side are keen to prove a point at the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.
The Shrimps faced Burton in their first ever home Football League game last season and suffered a poor 5-2 defeat in a game that ended with McIlroy memorably saying: "We made Burton look like Barcelona.''
Last season's two games produced 12 goals but this season both teams have yet to score from their two league matches so far so it seems something should give this weekend.
Said Sammy: "We were shocking at Burton last year but then beat them in a great game at Christie Park.
"It's a surprise that both sides haven't scored yet because both teams have good strikers and both will be eager to get their firs win of the season this weekend.
"We haven't had a win yet but I feel our performances have deserved better but the longer you go without a win the harder it becomes so we are definitely looking to win the game.''
Burton manager Paul Peschisolido told his local paper: "They've obviously looked at where they went wrong last season, just as we have.
"Look at any promoted team and they've usually done it by conceding very few goals, not by relying on scoring more goals than the opposition.
"That's why we've concentrated on putting down a more solid base this season."
