CHRIS MCCready returns to his forme club Northampton this weekend looking for a winning return to the Sixfields Stadium.
McCready, 29, who played 14 games for Northampton in a short spell with the Cobblers, could come up against two former team mates and friends in Adebayo Akinfenwa and Bas Savage.
He said: "Bayo and me became close friends at Northampton as we were both put up in a hotel together and I was with Bas at Tranmere.
"They are both great lads and good players who use their height and strength well and make things difficult for defenders.
"But we have looked pretty solid so far this season and will be ready for the challenge.
"We have changed our defensive system and worked really hard at it on the training ground and so far it has paid off.
"To win four games in a row is a nice feeling and something we didn't achieve last year.
"We didn't really show any consistency last year and that is what we are aiming for this year.
"It is not going to be easy because there are a lot of of good teams in this league but we have started well and hopefully we can keep it going."
Northampton go into the game on the back of three successive league defeats after the midweek Carling Cup reverse to Wolves.
Last Saturday they were in the box seat to beat Cheltenham, leading 2-1 before losing 3-2, but summer signing Jake Robinson told the Northampotn Chronicler that they won't be as naive this weekend.
"We are going to expect teams to come here and play for a point, because we are going to play good football," he said.
"We are looking to do that all season so I think if we are playing well, they are going to sit back and try to frustrate us.
"That's to be expected a lot this season but in the end Cheltenham started coming at us and we were going too much all out and that has counted against us.
"We are aware of that now and we won't be quite as naïve this week.
"Morecambe have had a couple of good results already in the league, they have got a new manager that they are trying to impress, so I'm sure that they will come and won't be looking for a draw, they will be looking to win it."
Town's start to the season has left them with four points from their first four league games - Morecambe have nine and so a home win tomorrow would help bridge the early gap between the Cobblers and the division's early leaders.
"It is still a work in progress," said Robinson. "Looking at the squad in training, we are not particularly worried that it isn't going to come because we see it happening day in, day out and we know the quality is there.
"Obviously it is disappointing to lose two games in a row in the league, nobody wants that, so we are looking to bounce back.
"So if we look at the positives from Tuesday night and the positives from Saturday against Cheltenham, take that in to the Morecambe game and perhaps refined a couple of things, then I think we will do well.
"We're not worried yet, but we do have some catching up to do already."
