Michael Howard made a welcome return to action as the reserves ended their season with another victory.

Jeff Udall's side continued their superb end of season run of form with a narrow victory over Gary Parkinson's youngsters at Bloomfield Road.

Jack Brierley scored the only goal of the game after 31 minutes to take the three points and earn the Shrimps another win.

Howard slotted in comfortably at left back in his first game since beating Oldham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at the start of the season and had an excellent match.

Matty Blinkhorn also played well after being given 80 minutes and Scott Davies returned from hsi recent injury and produced one stunning save to deny the Seasiders.
