Blackpool Res 4, Morecambe Res 3

Posted on: Mon 16 Aug 2010

THE Shrimps' Reserves went down 4-3 to a strong Blackpool at Bloomfield Road today.

The side, managed by Jim Bentley in the absence of Jeff Udall, produced a good performance against a side that contained plenty of experience.

Danny Mitchley gave Blackpool an early lead but Wayne Curtis replied soon afrter from the penalty sport after a Joe Martin foul. The home side regained the lead when Ishmael Demontagnac beat Scott Davies after a neat one-two with Jason Euell. Mitchley added a third before half time as Blackpool ended the period on top with Davies saving superbly from a Neal Eardley free kick.
