THE Shrimps' Reserves went down 4-3 to a strong Blackpool at Bloomfield Road today.
The side, managed by Jim Bentley in the absence of Jeff Udall, produced a good performance against a side that contained plenty of experience.
Danny Mitchley gave Blackpool an early lead but Wayne Curtis replied soon afrter from the penalty sport after a Joe Martin foul. The home side regained the lead when Ishmael Demontagnac beat Scott Davies after a neat one-two with Jason Euell. Mitchley added a third before half time as Blackpool ended the period on top with Davies saving superbly from a Neal Eardley free kick.
The Shrimps started the second half brightly with Curtis pulling the score back to 3-2 but as they looked for a leveller Euell made it 4-2.
Wayne Curtis capped a good afternoon by sealing his hat-trick late in the game.
