A YOUNG Morecambe Reserves team went down 5-1 at Christie Park to a youthful North End.
The vsitors took the lead in the first half with a goal by Michael McLellan and started the second half with a goal from Jamir Proctor on 57 minutes.
North End made it 3-0 on72 minutes when the impressive Proctor made space down the right and crossed for substitute Neil Dougan to score from close range.
Ryan Hall made it 3-1 with 10 minutes to go when he bundled home a left wing cross from close range.
Jamie Proctor had a chance to make it 4-1 for North End but missed a late penalty when he hit the right hand post. Proctor made amends by then crossing superbly for Dougan to score his second and North End's fourth from close range.
Dougan then sealed his hat-trick with an excellent finish on 89 minutes after latching on to a long through ball.
