22 year old Jamie Burns joined Morecambe on loan from Blackpool in November 2006. He made his debut as a second half substitute against Forest Green Rovers at home on the 25th of November.

Burns has made over 50 appearances for Blackpool and signed on loan until the 1st of January 2007 when he returned to Blackpool after his one month loan ended.

He rejoined Morecambe at the end of January on a contract until the end of the season.
