Profile
Lee was signed from Blackpool on loan until the end of the 2002/2003 season on transfer deadline day in March 2003.

Collins, a hard tackling midfielder with plenty of league experience at Blackpool and Swindon Town, was brought in primarily to add some grit and determination to Morecambe's midfield but he also allowed Michael Stringfellow to take a well earned rest from the team after he began looking jaded in the weeks before Collins arrival.

He made his debut in Morecambe's 3-2 victory over Nuneaton Borough on the 29th of March in a game where he produced a solid performance that earned him plaudits in the Morecambe crowd. He went on to produce several excellent performances in Morecambe's run towards the inaugral Conference playoffs.

A sending off against Scarborough for elbowing an opponent meant that he missed the second leg of Morecambe's playoff semi final against Dagenham & Redbridge and would have missed the final had the club got there.

Collins signed for Morecambe on a permanent basis in the summer after being released by Blackpool but struggled to hold down a first team place in the side. This was a huge disappointment to all at Morecambe Football Club who had expected big things from Collins and as a result he was released on a free transfer to make way for new signings.
