Profile
Jimmy Kelly was a transfer target of Jim Harvey way before he signed for the Shrimps in May 2004. The midfielder played his part in Scarborough's successful FA Cup run the previous season which saw them host Premier League side Chelsea at The McCain Stadium.
Kelly's Morecambe career got off to the worst possible start after picking up an injury in pre season that saw him ruled out for a number of months and he didn't make his Shrimps debut until January.
Jimmy made six appearances in the league in his first season along with a further six appearances in cup competitions.
His second season at the club saw him make 28 appearances (8 as a substitute) in all competitions and scored a single goal in the 3-2 victory over Forest Green Rovers at Christie Park. However, with the arrival of Fraser McLachlan on loan from Mansfield and the return of Garry Hunter from injury Kelly found himself out of the side for the end of season run in.
Jimmy Kelly was released at the end of the 2005/2006 season.
